Naniloa & The end of Tiki

Join Us for a Unique Chicago Event Celebrating Rum, Culture, and Hospitality

Step into an unforgettable afternoon and evening in the heart of Chicago, where we explore the rich cultural heritage of sugarcane and its impact on the world of spirits. This event is dedicated to appreciating the artistry behind rum and the diverse cultures that shape its craft.

Podcast Recordings: Appreciation vs. Appropriation

The day kicks off with two live podcast recordings that spark a thought-provoking discussion on appreciation vs. appropriation—a crucial conversation about celebrating cultures with respect. Our goal is to create an inclusive space where Chicago's community can come together, learn, and share in the celebration of creativity and tradition.

Complimentary Cocktail & Donation Details

Every guest who RSVPs will receive a complimentary cocktail featuring Bayab Gin, crafted to highlight the unique flavors of sugarcane-based spirits. While we suggest a donation of $10–$20 to support the event, we believe that meaningful conversation should always be accessible to everyone.

Naniloa Happy Hour Pop-Up & Cocktail Tastings

At 4 p.m., Lemon opens its doors to the public, offering a special Happy Hour pop-up featuring Naniloa—a Hawaiian-inspired cocktail experience. “Naniloa” means “beautiful” in Hawaiian, and we aim to bring a taste of beauty and creativity to the Chicago bar scene.

Expert Cocktail Creations & Surprises

Join renowned mixologist Jef Tate as he crafts five custom cocktails, expertly paired with insights from Stevan, the host of the popular podcast Balanced Hospitality.
